Graduation
The day I became Engg Riya from Ms Riya.
Ms.Riya Ranjan to Engineer Riya Ranjan 👩🎓 2017-2021🗞️
I flew my cap as high as my dreams.
I pursued my Bachelor of Technology in Information Technology at Chandigarh Group of Colleges from 2017 to 2021, graduating with an 8.0 GPA, but the journey behind that number was far from easy. I came in with curiosity and ambition, yet quickly realized how competitive and demanding the field was.
Limited resources, inconsistent guidance, and the pressure to perform academically while also building practical skills made the experience overwhelming at times. I struggled to balance theory with real-world application, often questioning whether I was learning “enough” to be industry-ready. There were semesters where deadlines piled up, concepts felt abstract, and self-doubt became a constant background noise.
At the same time, I was learning to code, debug, and think logically, I was also learning resilience—staying up late to rework assignments, teaching myself concepts beyond the syllabus, and slowly becoming comfortable with not knowing everything. The final years, especially during the uncertainty around graduation and career direction, tested my patience and confidence the most.
However, those struggles shaped how I approach problems today. They taught me discipline, self-learning, and the importance of consistency over quick wins. Finishing my degree was not just about earning a BTech in Information Technology; it was about proving to myself that I could persist through uncertainty, adapt under pressure, and grow steadily even when progress felt invisible.
